OPI’s new Fall/Winter 2021 nail polish collection transports us to the contemporary streets of downtown Los Angeles, where big-city culture meets modern expansion for the Fall 2021 collection. OPI Downtown LA Shade

All 12 of the Downtown LA Collection shades will be available in GelColor, Infinite Shine, and Nail Lacquer formulas, including Graffiti Sweetie, (P)Ink on Canvas, Metallic Composition, Espresso Your Inner Self, 7th & Flower, Art Walk in Suzi’s Shoes, Violet Visionary, My Studio’s On Spring, Isn’t it Grand Avenue, Angels Flight to Starry Nights, OPI DTLA, and Abstract After Dark.

Gender-fluid hues of lilac and pink (Graffiti Sweetie, (P)Ink on Canvas) mix with warm autumn tones of metallic rose and rich auburn brown (Metallic Composition, Espresso Your Inner Self). Bold hues of raspberry, cherry red, plum, and green pine (7th & Flower, Art Walk in Suzi’s Shoes, Violet Visionary, My Studio’s On Spring) are counter-balanced by post-punk dusty and dark shades of blue and gray (Isn’t it Grand Avenue, Angels Flight to Starry Nights, OPI DTLA, Abstract After Dark).

Downtown LA Colors Deep Study

Introducing the Downtown LA collection–dark autumnal tones like forest green and midnight blues and purples, and nostalgic pastels and metallics that transcend seasons are inspired by paint-covered palettes, art in all its forms, and the artists who bring these vivid colors and creations to life. Let’s dig in.

Dark Autumnal Icons

Shorter days and longer nights bring out deep, moody tones. Paint museum nights with an almost midnight navy blue (Isn’t It Grand Avenue), spark your creativity with a deep shimmery purple (Abstract After Dark, which is a glow-up of our iconic Lincoln Park After Dark), or wear our rich violet crème that will have hue juxta-posing.

Bloodstone Hues

This season is being dominated by bloodstone–a mix of dark greens, pops of red, and rich, chocolaty browns. Channel this trend in our lush green (My Studio’s on Spring), a crimson crème red made for walking into galleries (Art Walk in Suzi’s Shoes), and a deep espresso brown that will bring out your inner artist (Espresso Your Inner Self).

Trans-seasonal Pastels and Metallics

Pastels and metallics are no longer one-season hues. Fall brings us a shimmery rose gold that’s a sketch of your imagination (Metallic Composition), a perfectly sweet lilac crème that makes a statement (Graffiti Sweetie), and a shimmery wash of dusky blue that will take flight on your nails (Angels Flight to Starry Nights).

With this collection, we’ve blended historic Downtown LA with new revival; this concept is epitomized by the shade Abstract After Dark, which is an updated version of Lincoln Park After Dark, OPI’s iconic vampy dark hue. Inspired by the glittering nights of Los Angeles, this new shade pairs deep hues of blue and purple with the shimmering sparkle of sunset along the city skyline.
